Performance comparison of gate valves with different structures
1. Wedge type single gate valve
A. Simpler structure than flexible gate valve;
B. At higher temperatures, the sealing performance is not as good as the elastic gate valve or double gate valve;
C. Suitable for high temperature media with easy coking.
2. Flexible gate valve
A. It is a special type of wedge type single gate valve. Compared with wedge gate valve, the sealing performance is good at high temperature, and the gate is not easy to be stuck after being heated.
B. Suitable for steam, high temperature oil and oil and gas medium, and suitable for parts with frequent switching;

3. Double gate valve
A. The sealing performance is better than that of wedge gate valve. When the inclined Angle of the sealing surface and the valve seat are not very accurate, the sealing performance is still better.
B. After the sealing surface of the gate is worn, the metal pad at the bottom of the spherical core can be used after replacement. Generally, surfacing and grinding of the sealing surface are unnecessary;
C. Suitable for steam, high temperature oil and oil and gas medium, and suitable for parts with frequent switching;
D. It is not suitable for the media with easy coking.
4. Parallel gate valve
A, sealing performance is worse than other forms of gate valve;
B. Suitable for medium with low temperature and pressure;
C. The sealing surface of gate and seat is easier to be machined and repaired than other types of gate valves.
